There are so many things I want to be able to do. My idea is to take the concept of debt snowballing, where you pay off debts from smallest to biggest until they're all paid off, and apply that to my physical capabilities. I remember reading somewhere that it takes 7 times longer to gain a skill than to maintain it. So my thinking is I can work on basic calisthenics and other goals, one thing at a time, to build confidence, and then maintain each thing as I go.
I had abdominal surgery a couple of years ago and I feel like I've never really recovered fully physically. It took a toll on me physically and mentally, both the surgery and its ramifications, and the year or so prior where I was in significant and unpredictable daily pain. I really want to get back to feeling healthy and confident and capable in my body. Hopefully these goals will help me do that.
My first goal is to do 2 sets of 10 pushups. My plan is to do two sets of pushups everyday until I can do it.
